Overview:
This 5-day course gives the student a solid knowledge of XML. The student will get a good understanding on how to best structure XML documents using internal and external entities for optimum performance and maintainability. The course also covers related subjects such as using style sheets with CSS and XSL, as well as the powerful linking languages, XLink and XPointer. These technologies are instrumental in making XML one of the most powerful web development tools. Many examples are shown, followed by in-depth exercises. By the end of the course, participants should feel comfortable building mission-critical web applications using XML.
